Dr. Mahmoud El Shennawy, the General Manager of Al-Fateh Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics Industries “FIPCO”, revealed the company’s success in producing the first medical solutions using 100% Egyptian raw materials.
In exclusive statements to “Pharmaceutical Market,” he added that this came after conducting numerous studies and experiments that lasted for over a year, enabling Al-Fateh Company to use 100% Egyptian raw materials as alternatives to imported ones. He explained that providing raw materials locally will lead to a significant reduction in reliance on imports in the coming period, aligning with the state’s policies, ensuring the availability of the product to Egyptian patients, covering all the needs of the Egyptian market, and expanding externally, without being dependent on importing raw materials.
The General Manager of Al-Fateh Pharmaceuticals thanked the Egyptian Drug Authority for its great support, as well as the Ministry of Petroleum, in addition to Meaco Company and all relevant departments for their efforts in this file. He clarified that this success supports Al-Fateh Pharmaceuticals’ expansion abroad strongly in the coming years, as the company has succeeded in exporting its products to countries such as Mauritania, Yemen, Gaza, Iraq, Libya, and Syria in recent years, and is currently registering in many Arab and African countries in preparation for export, including the UAE, Jordan, Oman, Kenya, Tanzania, Sudan, and Nigeria.
Al-Fateh Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics Industries is located in the New Borg El Arab City in Alexandria, specializing in the manufacture of medical solutions. It began its industrial activity in 2011 and currently covers about 35% of the Egyptian market’s need for medical solutions.
